Dr. Walker’s journey to become a Chiropractor began with her love for rugby. She was a competitive rugby player for 15 years and having suffered a multitude of injuries, she relied on chiropractic care throughout her athletic career. Dr. Walker also coached the U-16 Women’s Rugby team at the BC Summer Games for two consecutive seasons, she coached the Fraser Valley U-16 Women’s Rugby team at the Provincial Regional Championships and was heavily involved with hockey, working as an athletic trainer for a Jr. hockey team for several seasons.
Dr. Walker’s education began at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. She then continued her schooling to earn a second Bachelors degree in Education, which led Dr. Walker to the field of teaching. In 2014, Dr. Walker moved to San Jose California, where she earned a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West.
She now calls Reno home, and is happy to be spreading her love for movement and her strategies for achieving wellness. Her treatment style includes functional neurology, chiropractic adjustments, various soft tissue release therapies, and corrective exercise. When Dr. Walker is away from the office, you will find her at the local yoga studio or on a trail hiking.
